Platforms like Google AMP and Apple News represent the fastest growing portion of our audience, but some embeds and HTML may not display properly there. Some content can even prevent stories from translating to AMP and Apple News entirely.
If an embed is going to cause issues on other platforms, you’ll see a notification on the compose screen, and in the warning section of the Finalize screen before you publish.
Embeds that are stripped out on AMP or Apple News won’t prevent a story from being published on those platforms, but they won’t display to those audiences. Make sure your story will still make sense without this content.
Raw HTML is likely to cause problems on both Google AMP and Apple News, so proceed with caution and include HTML only when necessary.
Keep in mind that any content from an insecure source—one that uses HTTP instead of HTTPS—will block a story from being published on both Google AMP and Apple News. We recommend using HTTPS embeds whenever possible.
