After you’ve uploaded a video to a project, you can publish it to YouTube, Facebook, Apple News, or syndication feeds. You can also add the video to a story.
Publish to YouTube or Facebook
- Open the project in Chorus Video.
- Select Platforms.
- In the YouTube section, as an example, select the file, thumbnail, and account if applicable.
- Hit Send.
Note: If you add _YT or _FB to the end of a video or thumbnail file name, that file will automatically be selected on the appropriate platform card.
Publish to Apple News
The Apple News option in Chorus Video is for Apple’s “left-of-home” widget experience. Most networks prefer to publish videos to YouTube and embed them in the story editor, which automatically publishes to the Apple News app.
For the normal Apple News experience:
- Open the project in Chorus Video.
- Select Platforms.
- In the YouTube section, select the file, thumbnail, and account if applicable.
- Hit Send.
- Head over to the Players screen and send the video to the Chorus player to allow Apple News to pull a streaming version of the video.
- When adding the video to a story, you can choose the YouTube embed as usual.
For the “left-of-home” widget experience:
- Open the project in Chorus Video.
- Select Platforms.
- In the Apple News section, select the file, thumbnail, and account if applicable.
- Hit Send.
Note: Apple does not use .SRT files for captions, but if you attach a .SRT caption file to your video file, Chorus Video will automatically convert it into an Apple-friendly caption format when the video appears on Apple News.
