When you create a table in Chorus, we automatically present that to audiences with semantic markup. We recommend including a caption for people using assistive technology, so they can decide if they want to tab through all of the data fields or skip over the table entirely.
Don’t include images of tables
They’re not accessible and don’t render well for audiences.
Keep it simple
If you need to include data around multiple topics, break up the data into individual tables. Polygon’s Pokémon Go guide is a nice, mobile-friendly example of using multiple tables and headings.
Focus on impact
Over 75% of Vox Media’s traffic is mobile and lengthy tables are hard to read on any device.
