Good design has sufficient contrast between foreground and background colors. We check for color contrast when designing Chorus sites, but we need your help to ensure stories and images are accessible for people who are colorblind or visually impaired.
Custom styles
If you’re using custom code to change the colors of links, buttons, or elements in a story, make sure there’s enough contrast for audiences to read the text. Custom graphics and visualizations can also affect legibility.
Brand images
All decorative brand images (e.g., logos, icons, and favicons) need to pass color contrast standards. Ensure the image works on a dark background (black or dark gray) and a light background (white or light gray) to accommodate light and dark modes across different operating systems.
