AMP is a platform from Google designed to create quick-loading mobile pages that rank well in search results. However, due to AMP prioritizing speed over full functionality, not all content works well in that space. By default an AMP version of your story will be generated.
Disabling AMP allows you to choose whether an AMP version of your story is generated. When used in conjunction with the Disable Apple News and RSS you can decide if your stories only exist on your site and nowhere else.
Hide stories from AMP
- Head to the Finalize screen.
- Expand the Advanced section.
- Select Disable AMP.
- Schedule or publish the story as usual. If the story was already published, hit Publish changes.
This feature is available on these story types:
- Stories
- Streams
- Maps
- Package landing pages
Pages or Link posts do not have an AMP version.
This feature will work as described.
If your organization publishes to AMP, they can choose to enable this feature.
