A project in Chorus Video can contain multiple video files, thumbnails, and captions.
Video files
- Chorus supports MP4 and MOV video files up to 5GB.
- We recommend using a video with an aspect ratio of 16:9. If you upload a square or 4:5 video, for example, audiences will see letterboxing on the sides of the embed.
You cannot directly upload a video file (like an .mp4) into the story editor. If your site is not using Chorus Video, we recommend uploading video to a service like YouTube so you can use the embed option.
Thumbnails
Enticing thumbnails are an important part in encouraging audiences to watch a video, and they’re also required for syndication.
- We recommend using a 1920x1080px JPG or PNG image for most videos.
- For vertical videos, we recommend 1080x1920px (depending on the platform it will appear on).
Captions
Captions are required for accessibility. You can upload caption (SRT) files or request captions when adding a video. When doing this, make sure that you link the caption file and video file to one another on the Files tab.
Tip: If you add _YT or _FB to the end of a video or thumbnail file name, that file will automatically be selected on the appropriate platform card.
