Stories must be added to a package in order to include them on the package landing page. Stories in a package will all display the package table of contents and package logo, if one has been added. There is no limit to the number of stories that can be added to a package, but you can only add a story to one package.
When a package is published, all the drafts in the package will be published simultaneously—for very large packages, this may take a few minutes. Any previously published stories will automatically begin displaying the package table of contents, but should be individually republished to reflect any changes to content, an updated timestamp, etc.
Stories can be added to packages a few ways.
Create a new story
If the story doesn’t exist yet, head to the Package screen and select + New story.
Search for existing stories
To add existing drafts or published stories:
- Head to the Package screen.
- Search by keyword (using quotation marks for multiword phrases) or paste in the URL of a published story. Stories within your larger network can be added.
- Use the Filter by dropdown to adjust the scope of your search.
Note: If a story isn’t appearing in the search results, make sure it’s not already part of another package. A story can only be part of one package.
Remove stories
On the Package screen, select the ellipsis menu and then hit Remove from package.
Note: The landing page cannot be removed from a package.
