You can search for images and other files on the Assets dashboard - learn more about supported file types. If your network uses a third-party image service like Getty, USA Today, or Merlin, you can also search for those images here if they’ve already been added to a story. When you’re working directly in the story editor, you can also search for images directly from there.
To get started, open the editorial dashboard and select Assets. Or, open up the image search from within the story editor.
You can search by text using the options listed below, as well as filter by the type of asset. Use quotation marks to search for multiword phrases, such as: “world cup”. You’ll also be able to combine search terms below like: “world cup” on:7.14.2018.
Filter by type
To narrow your search, select the file type in the dropdown menu. Filtering by Files includes the file types listed here.
Date search
Use the search phrases on:, before:, and after: to find assets based on when they were uploaded.

on:1/1/2018 shows assets from the first of the year

on:April shows assets from April of this year

on:11.2017 shows assets from November of last year

For best results, use the full four digit year, spell out the month when writing it out, and stick to the US standard of month, then day.
Tag search
Use tag: to find assets with a particular tag.

Contributor search
Use by: to find assets that were uploaded by a particular Chorus user. You can search by name or username.

Credit search
Use credit: to find assets that are credited to a particular photographer.

Use url: to find an image hosted by Vox Media.
