If you’re replacing your phone or resetting it to factory settings, you’ll need to reset your two-factor authentication.
If you don't have access to your old phone to take these steps, or are already logged out of Chorus without access to your codes, please reach out to your manager to reset your account.
Transfer your codes
If you still have your old phone and use Google Authenticator for Chorus Auth, Google Authenticator lets you transfer codes from one phone to another. You’ll be able to select all of your 2FA codes and generate a unique code to scan on your new device, which will move all of them over.
Reset your two-factor authentication
If you're unable to transfer your codes, follow these steps to manually reset your two-factor authentication.
- Head over to your homepage.
- Select Edit Profile in the main navigation or footer depending on your site settings.
- Select Edit Account & Settings.
- In the two-factor authentication section, select Reset it.
- You’ll get a barcode to scan, which you can use to set up your two-factor authentication again.
Remove old codes
You should only have one Chorus code in your authenticator app at a time. If you’re resetting an existing device, delete the older code first to avoid confusion. Here are the instructions for Google Authenticator. Authy has similar instructions on their help center.
- Open Google Authenticator.
- Select the pencil icon.
- Select any existing Chorus codes.
- Select Delete.
- Open Google Authenticator.
- Press and hold an existing Chorus code.
- Select the Trash icon.
- Select OK.
